Story about Mary

This is a story about one of my best friends named Mary.

Mary and I had time for a girls night out. Mary's husband Justin took there kids out of town to visit his parents for the holidays. Mary and I toyed with the idea of going out to drink at Old Chicago in Old Town Fort Collins. Neither of us are drinkers and after discussing it we decided that it was going to stay that way. We didn't need alcohol to have fun right? So we still decided to go to Old C's to have dollar pizzas.

When our waitress asked us what we would have to drink Mary answered her usual "I'll have a Pepsi" and my response was "I'll have a virgin dacquiery"

"You are going to have WHAT?" Mary asked "Shawna you said you weren't going to drink!"

So I asked Mary if she had every heard of virgin drinks and obviously she never had. Mary is so cute. "But is sounds like you ordered something bad" she said. And of course we laughed about it all night. I think now anytime we go out I am going to order a virgin drink just to be funny!

XOXOXO

Song in My Head Today 11/29

I always seem to have a song in my head and for one reason or another it is stuck there.

The song in my head today is one I hear at work and love to sing. It is sad but is full of emotion and I like that.

I Showed Her - by O-town (lyrics from azlyrics.com)
Its catching up to me right now
Everything that I've said
The night I left her there
When I said I wanted out
I was angry and upset
And at the time I could care less about staying there
I had to prove that I didn't care

Chorus
I showed her
I let my pride take me
Far away from the only woman I loved
I showed her
now she has found someone new and her life will go on
and I'm all alone
But I showed her

I hate that she's in love
but it took a while for her to get over the hurt
Now I know I messed up
I was trying to give us time
But she took that time to find somebody else
What happened to the things she felt for me
Am I really a part of her past

Chorus

Now she has found someone new
And her life will go on
And I'm all alone
But I showed her
