Poem

Why do you make us feel loss?
Why do you make us feel pain?
Why do fear you Death,
When some day you will visit us the same?
Why do we feel empty, when our loved ones pass away?
Does it really make us feel better when we think we will meet with them again one day?

To some of us it still saddens when the loved one isn’t ours,
But to know some one who loved them might feel like they were yours.



( I thought of this after a classmate of mine told me on Tuesday that she had lost a long time friend suddenly over the weekend)

Shortly after Emilio's death, a former coworker (someone I didn't know) also died suddenly. Few people currently working at my store knew him, but it was still an impact on those who did.

Then last Tuesday another coworker, Betty, died at age 67 of a heart attack. Last Saturday I had learned that Betty had called in sick and immediately I got worried because that is all Emilio did was call in sick. I couldn't believe it when I went to work on Wednesday and Rob told me about Betty.

As I was putting on my ribbon my manager Buz and I talked about Betty. Buz said that Betty often talked about death and said she wasn't scared. She had a near death experience 4 years ago and she was prepared if it came for real.
