Harry Potter

When Harry Potter started to become popular I simply didn't care, I had no time for it. The bigger it got I still didn't care, in fact I thought it was kind of stupid...
Last year I had a children's literature class and thought that maybe when I had to read books for the class I would read Harry Potter... but it didn't happen.
Andy and I both received an iPod for Christmas and I asked him to download Harry Potter on audio book so I could listen to it on my way to school. I finished the first audio book before school even started. I started the second book the first day of school and finished it today.

Harry Potter is wonderful. Now I can see why there is all the hype. It's enjoyable for all ages. I wanted to read (listen to) the books before I ever saw the movies. I think after the books the movies are my next project.

Harry is a great character. He was famous among the wizard world practically since birth, but he didn't know it until he was 11 because he was raised by his aunt and uncle who were not wizards and wanted nothing to do with magic. He is a legend... but he is modest and goofs up like a normal person... and yet he is still the hero of the story.

I know what you mean.. although, I decided to read Harry Potter because it was the book series that Nancy was in when she moved here and still is. Anyway, it was a way for us to have something in common with her. Correy and Kensie both love the movies.
