The people you meet when you are sick of people.

Sometimes when you work in customer service you can get really, really sick of people. You can start lumping all people together and and say "I can't stand people."

Then one day when you are not expecting it you meet a person that makes you remember that you really can't lump all the people together like you orginally had.

Today on my way home from school I took the #15 bus. At a stop a group of young children and a few adults got on. I figured they had come from the library. Most of the children where obviously handicaped. A young boy took the seat next to me and started looking at my iPod. Then he asked me what time it was. I answered him and then he asked me "When is your bithday" I told him that my birthday was Sunday to which he replied "March 12th". So I asked him when his birthday was. He said October 4th, and when I replied that his birthday wasn't for awhile he didn't respond.

A few stops later he asked me what I was listening to. When I told him Harry Potter he smiled and said he liked the movies. Then it was the group's stop and he smile at me and said bye Miss Harry Potter.

I thought it was great; he made my day. Now I can go to work in a good mood

I've worked with people all of my life. After twelve years as a social worker and twenty as an ordained minister, I know what it is like to encounter a really neat person—they’re angels at the very least!

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
