On Saturday, April 29, I'll be participating in March of Dimes WalkAmerica and taking steps to help save babies from premature birth, leading cause of newborn death.

Each year, half a million American babies are born too soon, including more than 8,000 in Colorado. Some are so small doctors can't save them. Those who survive may suffer lifelong consequences, like mental retardation or blindness. No one knows why some babies are born too early, and no one is working harder than the March of Dimes to find out why.
